For many 13- and 12-year-olds, the focus of Christmas is presents, presents and more presents. For siblings Lucas and Frances Border, the two ended up collecting 174 kilograms of food and $450 for St. Vincent de Paul Society of Vancouver Island so families in need could enjoy healthy meals over the holidays.
SSVP extends many thanks to the Knights of Columbus from St. Joseph the Worker Parish for organzing their annual food drive called "40 cans for 40 days". Over 3400 pounds of non perishable food was donated for the SSVP Food Pantry located on Yates St. in Victoria.
